Pollution Assessment and Characterization

ALPH is experienced at all phases of site characterization and assessment.

Phase I - Initial assessment of the likelihood of contamination.
Phase II - Detailed sampling of areas suspected of contamination.
Phase III - Development of a remediation plan.

ALPH has experience of several assessments of Phase I and Phase II on a variety of sites including:-

  • Industrial sites
  • Commercial sites, including Petrol Stations;
  • Marine sites;
  • Farms sites.


Apart from the site characterization, we have Expertise and Capabilities for the following types of Assessment:-

1.  Ambient Environmental Status:-

  • Air Quality Monitoring – in respect of all Criteria air pollutants and other specific air pollutants including hydrocarbons and metals
  • Water Quality Monitoring – in respect of surface water, groundwater and seawater quality
  • Noise Monitoring – Data collection and analysis
  • Odor Monitoring – Olfactometry Surveys

2.  Source Characterization and Compliance Status:-

  • Emission Monitoring – in respect of all routine parameters and special parameters including VOCs, Metals, Particle Size Distribution
  • Wastewater Monitoring – in respect of all parameters based on compliance requirement and usage pattern
  • Noise Monitoring – covering industrial and construction equipment
